Reginal Wright has served over 20 years as a public school teacher. As an educator, Reginal has earned many awards including Outstanding Teacher, Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and the Secondary Educator of the Year Award. Reginal has performed music throughout Europe and the United States. As a conductor, he is sought after as a clinician in both middle and high school and has enjoyed the opportunity to conduct honor choirs throughout the United States. As a composer, Reginal’s works have been commissioned by middle school, high school, college, and professional choirs. His works have been performed by All-State Choirs and invited convention choirs.
His “Invictus” was performed in the 2021 ACDA National Convention and by the 2022 Texas All-State Tenor-Bass Choir. His “Where are the Bodies” was performed at Carnegie Hall in collaboration with Dallas-based Turtle Creek Chorale. Reginal’s works are published and distributed through BriLee, Carl Fisher, Graphite, Hal Leonard, Oxford University Press, Santa Barbara Music Publishing, and his own publishing company, Reginal Wright Music.
Reginal received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music Education Degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Most recently, he was the head choral director at Mansfield High School and is currently on the music staff at Baylor University. His choirs consistently earned sweepstakes in concert and sight-reading contests. Choirs under his direction also earn “Outstanding in Class'' awards at State and National Music Festivals. The Mansfield High School Varsity Treble Choir was featured as an invited choir for the SW-ACDA Convention in 2012 and 2022 and for the ACDA National Convention in 2023. In 2018, the Mansfield High School Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir was honored as a Texas Music Educators Association Invited Choir.
Reginal resides in Arlington, Texas with his wife, Renetta, son, Gabrien, daughter, Reece, and Yorkie, Cooper.
Lauren Lafferty is a Houston native with a passion for choral music and the transformational communities it can form. Before pursuing graduate study, she spent six years teaching at Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas, a chapter of her life she holds close to her heart.
Ms. Lafferty now holds a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from Baylor University. Her culminating document explored psychological safety in the choral ensemble, arguing that the most artistically demanding thing a conductor can ask of a singer is not perfection, but wholeness.
Ms. Lafferty has also served the choral music education field as Region 5 Vocal Secretary and 9/10 Coordinator, and sings soprano with various groups across the state of Texas. This summer, Lauren and her fiancé will move to Denton, Texas, where she will pursue her Doctorate in Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at the University of North Texas.
In her spare time, Ms. Lafferty maintains a vibrant plant collection and creates the most beautiful and luxurious life for her cat (AKA daughter), Winny.
Brigitte Smith is in her twentieth year of music education, all of which have been spent in San Marcos CISD, where she has taught students in grades K–12. She is currently in her tenth year as co-director of the choirs at San Marcos High School.
Mrs. Smith earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas State University and her Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University, and was recently named Distinguished Alumna of Brazosport College - the community college where she began her post-secondary education.
Under her direction, choirs at all levels have consistently earned Sweepstakes awards and Division I ratings at UIL and festival competitions. Most notably, in February 2020, the San Marcos High School Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir was selected as an Honor Choir for the Texas Music Educators Association State Convention. In addition to her directing responsibilities, Smith serves as the SMHS chapter advisor for the Texas Future Music Educators Organization, is a founding member of the Purgatory Creek Chorale, and has worked as a soprano section leader for the St. Edward’s University and Texas State University All-State preparatory camp.
Mrs. Smith is an active clinician and adjudicator throughout Texas and facilitates music education professional development workshops in neighboring Central Texas districts. She is a member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association and has served on the Committee for Standards of Adjudication and Performance Practices. Through the Texas Music Educators Association, she has contributed as a Middle School Vocal Coordinator, Region Choir Clinician, Region Choir Organizer, and Region Choir Section Leader.
Outside of her professional work, Mrs. Smith enjoys camping and traveling and is rarely without a book in hand. She lives in San Marcos, Texas, with her husband, Nathan, who is also a music educator. She is the proud mother of two sons: Cayden, 24, who will graduates in May '26 from Texas State University with a degree in Trombone Performance, and Mason , 9, who is an avid LEGO enthusiast.
Spencer Wiley has been the head choir director at Harker Heights High School in Killeen ISD for six years. With a focus on singing a variety of styles of choiral music, choirs undere his direction have received recognition not only at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading contests, but also at contemporary a cappella contests such as the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) and Aca-Tex Vocal Festival.
The Varsity Mixed choir from Harker Heights HS was also selected as an invited ensemble to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in 2024.
Mr. Wiley has also served as a TMEA invited clinician for Regions 5, 9, 10, 19, 23, 26, 27, and 32 and is a frequent adjudicator for UIL Concert & Sight-Reading contest around the state of Texas. He currently serves as the TMEA Region 8 Vocal Chair and additionally as the High School SATB Repertoire & Resource Chair for the Southwestern Region of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).

Michael Zook began singing at Kingwood High School under the direction of Keith Dixon and David Stotlar. While studying for his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, Mr. Zook sang in the University Choir with Dr. Kenneth Davis and Dr. John Dickson. He then completed his student teaching with Denise Eaton at Spring High School.
In 2011, Mr. Zook was hired to be the head choir director at Vandegrift High School (VHS) in Austin, Texas and taught there as the head director for 12 years. During those 12 years, the VHS choirs have performed at TMEA (2016 & 2023), SWACDA (2016), and National ACDA (2019 & 2023).
Mr. Zook is a composer and has published choral pieces with Carl Fischer Publications and clinics choirs all over the United States. In 2015 Mr. Zook earned a master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from Concordia University in Austin, Texas. He is currently living in Austin with his husband Daniel Zook and their three bulldogs Teddy, Graham, and Marshmellow.
Lee Ashlee Fletcher is a choral educator, songwriter, and creative based in the Austin area whose work is rooted in building meaningful musical experiences and communities. A graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, she studied and performed as both a vocalist and flutist, appearing with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, Baylor Wind Ensemble, and Baylor Bella Voce at major conferences and performances throughout the Southwest region of the USA.
While at Baylor, she was named a Walker Harman Scholar and also held the Second Flute chair with the Waco Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, she earned a Master of Arts in Songwritring from the Berklee College of Music.
Now in her seventh year at Lake Travis High School as Associate Choir Director, Mrs. Fletcher has become known for cultivating student leadership, musical excellence, and classrooms where students feel seen as people first. Her teaching philosophy blends high standards with authenticity, humor, and heart, focusing on creating spaces where young musicians can grow not only as performers, but as confident and connected individuals.
A native of Austin, Mrs. Fletcher remains active as a performer throughout Central Texas. She sings with the choir at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church and is a member of the '26-'27 Conspirare Symphonic Choir. She also remains active in the Texas music education community through professional organizations including TMEA, ACDA, and TCDA. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Fletcher writes music, produces creative projects with her husband, Scott, and maintains a highly curated and organized Meadowland Farm in her favorite video game: Stardew Valley.
Autumn Forgey is an upcoming senior at the University of North Texas pursuing a degree in Music Education. Throughout her time at UNT, Autumn has served as a UNT College of Music Ambassador for two years and has worked for three years as both an intern and section leader for the UNT All-State Choir Camp. She also serves as treble section leader at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Her leadership experience includes serving as soprano section leader for UNT UpFront! Choir, Vice President of University Singers, Vice President and President of the North Texas Music Educators Association, a member of the Division of Vocal Studies Student Council, and Undergraduate Student Representative for UNT Opera.
In recognition of her dedication to music education, Ms. Forgey was selected as the UNT representative for the Texas Choral Directors Association undergraduate conducting masterclass and was awarded the Texas Music Educators Association undergraduate music education scholarship for both 2025 and 2026.
When not living and breathing music education, Ms. Forgey enjoys going to the lake or pool with friends. She also enjoys reading in her free time and hosts a book club with her friends once a week. Autumn's pride and joy is her cat, who, of course, is named Alexander Hamilton.
A native of the Midwest, Colby Schulz found his way on the keys at the Quincy Community Theatre for their Triple Threat Theatre Bootcamp, productions Chicago & Legally Blonde, and countless auditions. He also had the privilege of playing with the Quincy Senior High School Concert Orchestra for their production of White Christmas.
In Austin, Mr. Schulz has played piano for Glenn High School’s production of Alice by Heart, Vandegrift High School’s production of High School Musical, and enjoys subbing at churches on the occasion.
Mr. Schulz received his BS in Music Education from Quincy University and promptly relocated to the greater Austin area where he is now the Head Choir Director at Vandegrift High School. Outside of teaching singing, Colby can be found singing with the Conspirare Symphonic Choir and Un/Heard, a new LGBT+ Tenor/Bass ensemble.
For 26 years, Ed Snouffer served Eanes ISD in Austin as Head Director of Choirs at Westlake High School, leading eight choral ensembles involving several hundred students. Under his leadership, the choirs were consistent UIL Sweepstakes winners and were honored at festivals throughout the country. Prior to his teaching engagement in Eanes ISD, Mr. Snouffer was Head Choir Director at Lake Travis High School, and taught in both Austin ISD and in Williamstown, New Jersey.
Throughout his teaching career, Mr. Snouffer received numerous teaching honors, including Educator of the Year for Lake Travis ISD, Texas Region XIII Teacher of the Year, and Westlake Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year. He was honored with numerous “Golden Apple” awards , a student-voted honor given to Westlake teachers who make a significant, positive impact on their students’ lives and academic journeys.
Mr. Snouffer currently serves as Music Director at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Austin and conducts the Wimberley Community Chorus for its summer season. In addition, he is active across Texas as an adjudicator, clinician, and accompanist for several choral programs.
Mr. Snouffer has performed professionally as a member of the Grammy Award-winning Austin-based Conspirare Chamber Choir, appearing on two of the ensemble’s highly regarded recordings. Memberships in professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, American Choral Directors Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association.
Ed and his wife, Andrea, also a choir director and accompanist, reside in Austin. They are the proud parents of two daughters: Lauren, an international opera singer, and Emily, a dancer based in New York City. Both of his daughters were members of the choir program at Westlake and he treasures the opportunity to have been part of their music education.
